Press-studs on A'van Curtain Retainers
A'van curtains, when drawn back, are retained in
position with attractive "straps", usually in the same material as
the seating upholstery. These straps use Velcro® tabs to hold them closed. In time, however,
the tabs loose their effectiveness, and particularly when the A'van is closed
up and travelling, the straps can "let
go", and you are greeted with a tangle of curtains when opening up
at journey's end.
Since replacing all the curtain Velcro® tabs in our A'van with press studs, as shown in the photographs, we
have had no further problems with the curtains becoming undone whilst
travelling. These studs can be purchased from haberdashery shops and
from Bunnings.
Roof dome curtains drawn together. Note press studs to
keep the two curtain halves together.
The clothes pegs we have been using for this over the last 9 years have been
pensioned off!
