Mains Pressure Water TapPressurised Water Sink Tap Owing to the van side folding down over the sink, the new tap can only be of limited height. The one we have used is a toilet cistern tap fitted with a short length of chrome 1/2" copper tube for a spout, which is sufficient for us to fill our electric kettle under the tap over the sink.
The new tap is plumbed in 1/2" soft copper tube which runs from below the tap,
kicks across into the recess behind the fridge, then out through the bottom to
a brass hose snap fitting as shown in
the photograph.
Having all the plumbing in metal we
now have no qualms about leaving the water system pressurised when we are not
there or at night!
